Former Doncaster Rovers striker El Hadji Diouf will face no charges over a nightclub brawl. The 31-year-old was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder following a fight at a club in Manchester in April.
Premier League defender Anton Ferdinand, 27, was also questioned under caution by police about the incident but was released without charge, Diouf, who was released by Rovers earlier this summer, was among six men arrested by officers investigating the matter which left a 33-year-old
man needing hospital treatment for head and neck injuires. Police have now told former Liverpool, Bolton and Sunderland player Diouf he will face no charge over the incident but three men have been charged in connection with the fight.
