Four-year-old crash victim is named

Police have named the four-year-old boy who died in a road accident in Mexborough last week. Dylan Blake Walker of Dodsworth Street, Mexborough, was a passenger in a white Mazda MX-5 that was in collision with a lorry on Melton Mill Lane on December 23rd.

The 51-year-old driver of the car suffered slight injuries and the 49-year-old lorry driver was not hurt. Both men are from Doncaster. Police are asking any witnesses to contact them.

Police are appealing for information after an 18-year-old man died, after being involved in a two-vehicle collision on the A638 Great North Road in Redhouse, Doncaster. The collision happened on December 20 at about 12.20pm when a silver BMW 316 driven by a 31 year old man towards Doncaster on the

Great North Road on the 'one way' traffic section, pulled out of a lay-by and started a u-turn manoeuvre , directly in front of a white DAF large goods vehicle, moving towards Doncaster.

The BMW spun left on the carriageway coming to rest on a grass verge facing towards Wakefield.

The 18-year-old man, from Rotherham, who was a passenger in the BMW, sustained fatal injuries. A one-year-old girl, from Wath, also travelling in the BMW suffered a life-threatening head injury, and is being treated in Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Teenager dies and seven hurt in Selby crash

A 15-year-old girl has been killed in a crash on the A19 in North Yorkshire. Seven others, including three other children and a baby, were injured in the incident at Chapel Haddlesey, near Selby. It happened at 20.15 on Monday when a Ford Focus and a Vauxhall Astra collided.

The A19 was closed until 5 am. The other children received minor injuries and are being treated at hospitals in York and Wakefield. Two of the three adults involved, including a man who had to be cut free from the wreckage, were seriously injured.

Teenagers injured in car crash

A man has been killed and two teenagers are in a critical condition in hospital following a car crash in Sheffield.

20-year-old Lewis Shaw died in the crash on Far Lane in Wadsley last night. The 18-year-old driver hit a sign and a lamppost before the car overturned and hit a wall.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries along with another 18-year-old. A third passenger was only slightly hurt. We have spoken to Inspector Simon Slack from South Yorkshire Police.

The 20 year old man who died in the fatal collision in Wadsley has been named as Lewis Shaw, from the Wisewood area of Sheffield.

His family have issued this statement.

"Lewis was one of the most kind hearted people that we knew he would always put others before himself and always considered other peoples feelings, he was really generous and his brother Keiron’s best friend. All who know him will miss him loads and it will be an empty place without him."

A man has been killed and two teenagers are in a critical condition in hospital following a car crash in Sheffield. It happened just after seven o'clock last night on Far Lane in Wadsley. The Silver Vauxhall Corsa lost control, hit a sign and a lamppost before overturning and hitting a wall.

The 18 year old driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries along with another 18 year old. A 20 year old man died at the scene. The third passenger in the car escaped with minor injuries. Police have appealed for the driver of a black Audi who may have seen the crash to come forward.
