Scene of crash
Two people have been arrested after a car drove into a house in a Nottinghamshire village during the early hours of this morning. Police pulled over a vehicle along the A616 at Muskham. The driver then sped off from officers.
Moments lated it was reported the Peugeot 306 crashed into a house in Mill Lane in Caunton - driving into the rear of the building and through into the lounge area. People were inside at the time but no one was hurt. There has been extensive damage to the house.
The people inside the car fled from the scene but were subsequently tracked to a nearby field by the police dog section and the helicopter unit, and arrested. The two men, aged 22 and 20, from the Retford and Newark areas respectively, remain in police custody. They were uninjured.
House prices in seaside towns have risen at a higher rate over the last decade than prices across the country generally.
