Funny lad Jack to host courage awards

Teenage comedian Jack Carroll will be taking to the stage in Leeds tonight to honour some of Yorkshire's bravest and most inspirational youngsters.

The Britain's Got Talent runner up from Halifax is hosting the Children of Courage Awards and has become an ambassador for the event after winning an award himself two years ago.

It's the biggest night of Jack Carroll's life as he heads into the Britain's Got Talent live final tonight. The 14 year old from Halifax has so far charmed the nation with his comedy routine. You can see the final on ITV tonight at 7:30pm.

He's the funny man in a 14 year old's body. Jack Carroll has already charmed the nation to get through the auditions of Britain's Got Talent and tonight he takes to the stage for the final.

He's got huge support back in his home town of Brighouse. We've been to meet some of his teachers and classmates who'll be cheering him on tonight.

Jack Carroll, the 14 year old comedian from Halifax, got a standing ovation following his performance last night, with judge David Walliams saying he could be "the next Peter Kay" and Simon Cowell calling his performance "genius."
