Colne Valley MP Jason McCartney will join fellow MPs today to take part in the annual Houses of Parliament pancake race, which will highlight the needs of people living with brain injury, mental health issues and a wide range of disabilities supported by Rehab's services.
The annual Rehab Parliamentary Pancake Race between teams of MPs, the Lords and the media will take place at 10am in Westminster's Victoria Tower Gardens.
Having won in 2012 and 2013, the MPs team will be going all out to claim victory and make it a three-in-a-row.
Colne Valley MP Jason McCartney has called for an urgent debate on the M62 Leeds-Huddersfield roadworks. The stretch of motorway has had a 50mph limit for more than year while work is done to create a four lane managed motorway.
Mr McCartney said the roadworks raised safety concerns and concerns about the effect on the local economy.
Leader of the House Andrew Lansley told MPs he is aware of the issue after having driven along that stretch said he would raise the issue with the Transport Secretary, Patrick McLoughlin.
