Kay Mellor's TV drama 'The Syndicate' is to be remade for the US.
The drama, from the Leeds-born writer follows the lives of a lucky group of shop workers who win the lottery. The remake will be named 'Lucky 7' and will follow seven workers who strike it lucky while working in a service station.
It's the latest in a string of UK shows which have been remade for an American audience including 'Skins', 'Shameless', 'The Inbetweeners' and 'Gavin and Stacey'.
