End of the road

The husband and daughter of the fundraiser Jane Tomlinson can put their feet up tonight after a gruelling eight day challenge.

Mike, his daughter Rebecca and a team of supporters have just run the Paris Marathon and cycled 500 miles through three countries - all to mark 10 years since the Jane Tomlinson Appeal was started - and yesterday they topped it all off by running the London Marathon.

Two runners from Beverley are having a well deserved rest after taking part in the London Marathon yesterday. 36 year old Lucas Meagor, and Julie Donald took part in the gruelling event to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Lucas supported the Trust during 2011 raising £10,000 in the process having just past the £30,000 mark since he began marathon running in 2001.

One step closer to London

With miles of French, Belgian and English countryside behind them Mike, Rebecca and the team have reached Cambridgeshire after completing another 90 miles by bike today. The mileage is starting to take a toll on the riders' bodies but is yet to dampen spirits.

As if completing the Paris Marathon, followed by 600 miles on the bike wasn’t challenge enough the team will take part in the London Marathon to mark what will be the 10th Anniversary of Jane Tomlinson running the marathon and the start of the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.
