Police searching for missing York man William Notley, also known as Bill, are concentrating their searches in Humberside. Extensive enquiries have been carried out since he was reported missing and his car was spotted travelling into the area yesterday.
Humberside Police are assisting North Yorkshire officers with local searches of the area. Police are appealing for Mr Notley to get in touch with them or his family and let everyone know that he is safe.
Police are appealing for help to find a man who has gone missing from York. William Notley, also known as Bill or Billy, from Copmanthorpe, failed to turn up for work this morning. He was last seen by his wife just after 8am. The alarm was raised by his employer when he failed to arrive at work.
He's described as white, of slim build, 5ft 6ins tall, with a naturally tanned complexion, brown eyes and light brown hair, which is thinning. He was wearing a burgundy fleece with "Just Travel" written on the chest, and grey trousers.
"I am appealing to anyone who has seen a man matching Mr Notley's description or his blue car, to contact us . Both his family and the police are very concerned for his welfare and want to know that he is safe.
If Mr Notley sees or hears our appeal, I would like to make a direct appeal to him. Bill, your family are very very concerned for you and I urge you to please contact your family, friends or the police and let us know that you are safe."

Police searching for missing Harrogate man, Keith Broadbent, have found a body.
Mr Broadbent was reported missing on Tuesday evening (5 February 2013) and officers carrying out searches of the River Nidd near Conyngham Hall, located the body of a man this afternoon (Thursday 7 February 2013).
Mr Broadbent’s next of kin have been informed, although formal identification has not yet been carried out.
Keith David Broadbent, from Harrogate, was last seen by his daughter on Sunday, driving his blue Fiat Punto along Knaresborough Road around 5-6pm. It's since been found at Conyngham Hall in Knaresborough.
Officers are currently conducting extensive searches along the banks of the River Nidd and the area surrounding Conyngham Hall in an effort to trace him.
Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 - select option 1- and pass information to the Force Control Room
Police are appealing for information to help find missing 49-year-old Jeremy Malarkey.
He's from Lancaster Way in Clifton and was last seen at home on Tuesday morning, 8th January.
Mr Malarkey is white, about six feet two inches, stocky build, green eyes, grey shaved hair.
He has 'J' tattooed on his right arm.
He is believed to be wearing dark blue denim jeans with a grey coat which has two pockets on the front at the time of his disappearance.
Officers are growing concerned for Mr Malarkey’s welfare due to health issues and the length of time since he was last seen.

Alan Holt, 40, was reported missing on the 2 October but was last physically seen at his home on Albany Road in Dalton, Huddersfield on the 27 September.
Since his disappearance police believe that Alan is sleeping rough in the area near the Snooty Fox public house in Kirkgate, Wakefield.
There have also been possible sightings of Alan on the 8 October in the grounds of St Mary's Church Mirfield when he was believed to have been seen wearing a blue jumper and jeans and had a Lidl or Aldi carrier bag with him.
There have been other reported sightings of Alan on Woodhead Road in Lower Hopton on the 10 October and at Sandal Grange in Wakefield on the 18 October.
Alan is described as being a white man, 5'8" tall and of slim build. He is balding on top, with black hair at the back and sides. He also has a tattoo on his left shoulder that reads, 'On Fire'.
