A Bradford man and his wife will be sentenced today on terrorism charges. Thirty three year old Mohammed Sajid Khan and his thirty eight year old wife Shasta are believed to have been about to build an explosive device to target Jewish communities in Manchester.
They will be sentenced at Manchester Crown Court.
Mohammed Sajid Khan, from Bradford, along with his wife Shasta Khan, has been convicted of taking part in a terrorism plot. He pleaded guilty to engaging in conduct in preparation for acts of terrorism at an earlier hearing - his wife was found guilty today.
The couple are believed to have been in the early stages of building an improvised explosive device to target Jewish communities in Manchester.
However, their plot was prevented by officers from the North West Counter Terrorism Unit. The couple, of Foster Street, Oldham, are now due to be sentenced at Manchester Crown Court tomorrow.
