St John's Church on Sudbrooke Drive in Lincoln is hosting a concert today to celebrate being 50 years old. The Diocesan Ladies Choir will be among the performers taking part. The organisers will also be introducing a variety of events they have planned for 2013. It starts at 5pm.
Ripon in North Yorkshire celebrated its royal connections in a unique way today. Clergy at the Cathedral have staged a street party not outside, but inside the historic walls.

The star studded line up of the Jubilee concert included Elton John, Kylie Minogue and our very own Military Wives choir. The husband of one of the lead vocalists David Eglantine, who is based at Catterick, told us that his wife was very excited about performing for the Queen.
Nick Clegg parties with members of his constituency
The MP for Sheffield Hallam Nick Clegg has joined dozens of people for a Jubilee street party in his home constituency.
Residents from Totley Hall Drive and Totley Hall Mead in Totley organised the event. It is one of dozens of street parties in Sheffield taking place across the Jubilee weekend.
"It is fantastic that right across Sheffield and the rest of the country people are coming together to celebrate this historic occasion."
Soliders and their families from the Royal Dragoon Guards have held a jubilee street party, organised by military wives at Catterick Garrison. The servicemen and women are in training, poised for the possibility of being sent to Afghanistan.
