NHS Staff vote to continue action if no compromise found

Members have voted unanimously that if the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust refuses to negotiate on compulsory redundancies and pay cuts, they will continue to hold industrial action.

NHS strike ends

NHS workers at three hospital in West Yorkshire end their 3-day strike today.

The clerical workers from Dewsbury, Wakefield and Pontefract hospitals walked out in a row over cuts to pay and jobs.

The Mid-Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, which run the hospitals, need to make savings and are in negotiations with the unions.

Hospital admin staff protest over pay cuts

Striking clerical staff at three hospitals held a demo as they started a three day walkout. The workers at the hospitals run by the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust are protesting over plans to cut jobs and pay. Tina Gelder reports from Dewsbury Town Hall.
