A 27-year-old man has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Rotherham.
It happened on Claypit Lane in Rawmarsh on Sunday August 6 at around 6 pm. The car did not stop after the collision.
The victim was taken to hospital. Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.
A 13 year-old boy was left with serious head injuries after being hit by a car in Rawmarsh.
The teenager was in Rosehill Road when the incident, involving a blue Ford Fiesta, happened just before 3.30pm on Tuesday.
The boy was taken to hospital where he is undergoing treatment for his injuries.
The 22-year-old driver of the car was not injured.
The two-year-old girl who was bitten by a Rottweiler on Thorogate, Rotherham, on Tuesday, 6 August, is now out of hospital and recovering well at home.
The family of the little girl injured in yesterday’s dog bite incident on Thorogate, Rotherham, have expressed their "horror and shock" at the events that took place.
In a statement released through South Yorkshire Police the family say they have been "devastated " by yesterday’s incident.
The girl, who has not been named, is recovering in Sheffield Children's Hospital. She suffered a split earlobe and a number of wounds that required stitches mainly on one leg.
Her family remain at the little girl’s bedside in hospital today as she is treated for the injuries she suffered. The family has agreed that the Rottweiler shall be destroyed.
A toddler is being treated in hospital after being bitten by a Rottweiler dog in Rotherham.
Police have started an investigation into what happened in Rawmarsh this morning.
The two-year-old girl, whose identity is not being disclosed at this stage, has serious injuries to her head and leg.
She was initially taken to Rotherham District General Hospital and has since been transferred to Sheffield Children's Hospital.
The dog involved is believed to be a family pet. It was on a lead at the time of the incident and was in the company of the two year old girl and an adult female relative.
The dog has been taken to a secure kennel facility whilst police enquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The girl's condition has this evening been described as stable and not life-threatening.
