M62 closed overnight
The M62 in West Yorkshire will be closed between 8pm tonight and 8am tomorrow morning as part of the construction of the region's first managed motorway. The £150m scheme aimed at cutting congestion, will see the use of the hard shoulder as an extra running lane during peak periods.
Tonight's closure will see the installation of overhead gantries between Junction 27 (Gildersome) and 28 (Tingley). The M62 will be closed in both directions. A clearly signed diversion route will operate via the A650.
