Video: Shake-up for search and rescue teams

The famous yellow sea king helicopters used by the RAF search and rescue team based at Leconfield near Beverley are to be scrapped.

The Government's done a a deal with the US company Bristow Helicopters which will see them take over search and rescue services in the UK from twenty-fifteen.

It will mean RAF Leconfield's existing sea king helicopters will be sold off and from 2015, search and rescue will be based at Humberside Airport. Bristow says the state of the art replacement helicopters will cut response times, but not everyone thinks it's a good idea.
