The number of jobs created by seaside tourism is continuing to grow according to a new study by Sheffield Hallam University. In Skegness and Cleethorpes alone six thousand people are being employed as a direct result of people holidaying in the UK. And in Scarborough and Whitby alone over five and a half thousand people have jobs due to tourism there.
New figures show a fifth of people in Yorkshire are going on holiday abroad without travel insurance. The research also shows some people in our region wrongly believe the EHIC medical card acts as a full insurance policy.

Mablethorpe's traditional beach huts will be unveiled to the public later after a ninety thousand pound makeover in time for the summer season .The huts will be available for hire from tomorrow.
