Text Santa: Charities to benefit from donations

With just two days to go until ITV's festive fundraising extravaganza, Text Santa, we've been showing you some of the six charities in our region that will be helped by your donations.

Together For Short Lives is a charity that supports services for children with life limiting illnesses, like the Forget Me Not children's hospice in Huddersfield.

They say the money they'll be given from the Text Santa appeal will help to provide more care for children in their own homes. Victoria Whittam reports.

Families say thank you to Text Santa

The ITV charity extravaganza Text Santa is gearing up for a massive fund raising show on December 19.

ITV is helping six dedicated charities to raise money. Grace Melody Gardener has been to meet two families who benefited from last year's efforts and would like to say thank you to everyone who donated

Storm hit charity is looking forward to 2014

A lot of you have already got into the Christmas spirit of giving by supporting ITV's Text Santa campaign this year - which is helping six of our chosen charities keep going all year round.

We had planned to film at the annual Christmas party at Age UK in Hull. But the biggest storm in more than half a century put an end to that idea, as Victoria Whittam reports.

Text Santa: Barnardo's & Beat Bullying

As part of ITV's Text Santa campaign, we visited two of the charities which benefitted from last year's donations.

100% of donations made by viewers are evenly distributed to ITV's chosen charities within three months of each televised appeal.

All Text Santa operating costs including staffing and the programme itself are funded directly by ITV as part of its corporate giving, and not from its corporate partners or viewer contributions.
