Jo Cox's husband: remember 'what she stood for, not the manner of her death'

Brendan Cox, the husband of the late Batley and Spen MP Jo Cox, has asked the public to remember the values she stood for, "not the manner of her death". He tweeted the plea as the trial of Thomas Mair, the man accused of killing her, begins tomorrow.

It has been announced that Jo Cox is to receive a posthumous peace prize jointly with the Syrian volunteer group, the White Helmets, which she supported.
