Former Labour Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott told the Leveson Inquiry that he asked Scotland Yard if his phone had been hacked after claims that it had been appeared in The Guardian newspaper. Initially Scotland Yard said there was no evidence that his phone had been tapped.
