Three Royal Mail delivery offices in Bradford are going to close by next year.
The decision has been made to shut the Bingley, Shipley and Bradford West offices and relocate to the Bradford North office.
The move has come because of a decrease in the amount of mail being sent and the tough economic climate. Royal Mail say there will not be any compulsory redundancies but are working with unions to see how the change will affect staff.
– Harry Southall, Royal Mail's Director of Logistics
We have been talking to our people about the move, as we must modernise our operations. The relocation of Bingley, Shipley and Bradford West Delivery Offices is part of this, allowing us to place the business on a sound, secure and stable footing. Our service to customers will continue to be a top priority during these changes. Customers can be reassured that we will do all we can to minimise disruption and ensure we maintain the high level of service they expect and deserve from Royal Mail.
