The family of a teenager killed by a drunk driver who was speeding through Otley will travel to London today to ask for a change in the law. Sixteen year old Jamie Still was hit as he crossed Boroughgate on New Year's Eve, 2010.
Max Mcrae was jailed for four years for causing death by dangerous driving but was allowed to keep his licence for eight months while on bail. MP Greg Mulholland will travel with Jamie's mother and sister to speak to the Justice Minister Crispin Blunt.
They hope that anyone charged with a similar offence will have their licence suspended as part of their bail conditions.
