A man from Skipton has made it through to the next round of Britain's Got Talent after impressing judges with his novelty dalek routine.
Martyn Crofts, 42, has been performing with a saucepan on his head, singing in the style of one of the Doctor Who show's creatures, for the past 20 years.
I actually did enjoy it. That's what's confusing me. I'm not supposed to like you but I weirdly did.
Millions of people tuned in to last night's final audition show on ITV1 and saw the entertainer admit that he wants to win the talent contest so that next year he can be invited to open an annual gala in his home town of Skipton. But the mortgage underwriter didn't impress all of the judges:
I came back from America to do this show because I'm looking for somebody who I could possibly put on in Las Vegas, but with the greatest respect, if you turned up with a saucepan on your head, pretending to be a dalek, you would empty stadiums.
