Man held in Africa on suspicion of murder

It has been confirmed a man from North Yorkshire who was locked up in Africa after discovering bodies is being held on suspicion of murder.

24 year old David Simpson was arrested almost six weeks ago in the Central African Republic and has been held in jail since then. It followed him reporting to police the bodies of 18 men in the remote bush.

On his family's Facebook page they have said it has been confirmed Mr Simpson is being held on suspicion of murder, but they are seeing the start of a third investigation into what happened as a positive mood.
