Grimsby parents abuse

The parents of two teenage boys who were starved and locked in their bedrooms for up to 23 hours a day at their home in Grimsby had been investigated by social services some years before, it has emerged.

Corin and Linsley Jones

39 year old Corin Holmes and his wife Linsley who is 41 were jailed this week for a seven year campaign of abuse against their sons.

North East Lincolnshire Council said its social care team had come into contact with the family before the abuse was reported last year, but closed the case because they thought there was no need for "further intervention" at the time. A review into the case has now been launched.
