The family of a North Yorkshire pilot languishing in an African jail as a suspect in a mass murder say they have been given fresh hope that he will be freed - after being told the Prime Minister has become involved.
David Simpson was arrested in the Central African Republic after reporting that he had found 18 bodies in the South East of the country. But the authorities there have accused him of being involved. Today his family held a meeting at the Foreign Office in London from where Ben Erlam reports.
