"Gender not an issue" - 1st female Naval Commander

A woman from Grimsby has become the first female Naval Commander. She has taken up the post on HMS Portland which is currently undergoing a major refit in Fife.

Sarah West says that when she signed up, the Navy was the only force training its male and female recruits together.
