Plans for a wind turbine in Flamborough which would have stood 34 metres high have been withdrawn after more than 650 objections were made by locals and visitors to the area.

The Ministry of Defence, Natural England and English Heritage also opposed the plan for Hartendale farm and within 250m of the cliffs, which they argued would interfere with RAF radars and damage local wildlife and coastal views.
