Woman's leg amputated after Sheffield smash

A 23-year-old woman has had her leg amputated after car hit eight people in Sheffield.

It happened on the morning of 2 July when the driver of a car lost control close to the entrance for the Northern General Hospital. The car crossed over into the opposite lane, mounted the pavement, collided with a lamppost, a bus stop and eight people

Three people were also injured, including a 45-year-old man with a hip injury, a 21-year-old with arm injuries and 23-year-old man with broken bones.
