Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHSTrust have issued a statement in relation to a letter sent to maternity staff. It says two mothers' deaths at Hull and East Yorkshire Women and Children's Hospital may have been preventable.
“We routinely review all situations with an adverse outcome to identify any lessons that are to be learnt and on this occasion we felt that writing to staff was an appropriate thing to do.
“For reasons of patient confidentiality we cannot comment on the cases referred to in the staff communication.”
