Charity awarded car to help it to improve service

A charity which works across Sheffield and North Derbyshire, has been given a car emblazoned with its name and motif to help boost the profile of the work it does. Sheaf Motors Group have provided a new Ssangyong Korado for Helen's Trust, which supports people with terminal illness at home.

Sheaf Motors handed over the keys after naming the Sheffield trust as its charity of the year. The car, valued at about £17,000, also carries the logo of Sheaf Motors.

"My role requires me to be out and about across the city on a regular basis, meeting people and helping them to organise fundraising events. This fantastic new car will make it much easier to transport all the equipment needed. Having a car with our branding on is also a great opportunity to raise awareness about the charity in the communities we support. Helen's Trust now works across Sheffield and North Derbyshire and are seeing an ever increasing number of referrals to our service."

The charity needs to raise £20,000 a year to meet the current demand for its service and is reliant on voluntary income. Sheaf Motors has also raised #1,707 through fundraising.
