A 29-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with murdering a baby girl. Darryl Elliott, from Sandringham Drive in Sutton On Sea, Lincolnshire, appeared at Lincoln Crown Court this morning, accused of killing 14-month-old Amelia Bowmar.
Lincolnshire Police said Amelia was taken from Sutton on Sea to hospital in Grimsby with a suspected brain injury on Saturday night. She was transferred to Sheffield Children's Hospital, where she died on Monday. During the 10-minute hearing , Elliott, who appeared in court wearing black jogging
bottoms and a white t-shirt, spoke only to confirm his name. No applications for bail were made and he was remanded in custody to appear again at the same court on November 9, when it is expected he will enter a plea to the murder charge.
