Man in court over death of baby girl
A man will appear in court today charged with murdering a baby girl. Darryl Elliott, 29, from Sandringham Drive in Sutton on Sea, Lincolnshire, is accused of killing 14-month-old Amelia Bowmar.
Amelia was taken from Sutton on Sea to hospital in Grimsby with a suspected brain injury on Saturday night. She was transferred to Sheffield Children's Hospital, where she died on Monday.
Elliott appeared before magistrates in Boston yesterday morning for a brief hearing, a court spokeswoman said. He was remanded in custody to appear at Lincoln Crown Court this morning for a preliminary hearing.
