A 29-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with murdering a baby girl. Darryl Elliott, from Sandringham Drive in Sutton On Sea, Lincolnshire, appeared at Lincoln Crown Court this morning, where he stands accused of killing 14-month-old Amelia Bowmar.
Lincolnshire Police said Amelia was taken from Sutton on Sea to hospital in Grimsby with a suspected brain injury on Saturday night. She was transferred to Sheffield Children's Hospital, where she died on Monday.
No applications for bail were made and he was remanded in custody to appear again at the same court on November 9, when it is expected he will enter a plea to the murder charge.

The victim is believed to be a man in his 50's. He was found collapsed at a property on Ascot Parade on Tuesday 29 November.
The 60-year-old is reportedly facing an 18-month suspension and a fine relating to an illegal payment made to an unlicensed agent.
Andrew Roddison, the former Labour member for Brinsworth and Catcliffe at Rotherham Council, was found guilty by magistrates last month.
