Olympics: Adams guaranteed at least a bronze

Nicola Adams has guaranteed herself at least a bronze medal after winning her quarter-final bout.

The 29-year-old Flyweight from Leeds defeated Bulgarian Stoyka Petrova 16-7.

The World silver medallist will face Indian Mary Kom in the semi-final on Wednesday.

I enjoyed every minute in that fight, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and I need to make the most of it. It’s good to know that I’ll be Team GB’s first female boxer Olympic medallist.
