A diver from Halifax has died after losing his air supply 150 feet underwater. Ian Woolston was exploring the wreck of German U-boat the U12 in Scotland when he was seen signalling to his dive partner that he was returning to the surface.
His partner tried to save him by pushing him upwards. Rescue boat crew tried to resuscitate Ian, who was raced to a pressure chamber by a helicopter, for 30 minutes, but he died later.
