First 'Angry Birds' theme park opens

Peter Vesterbacka, Chief Marketing Officer for Rovio hopes to open theme parks around the world

The first Angry Birds Activity Park in the UK is to open today at Sundown Adventureland in Retford in Nottinghamshire.

The company behind the popular game say the idea behind the parks is to 'get people who would normally be sat at home in front of a screen out of the house and engaging in physical activity.'

Angry Birds Activity Park will include animal spring riders, swings, sandpits and a range of climbing towers with slides.
