Tommy Wright has been named caretaker-manager of Chesterfield following John Sheridan’s departure earlier today.
Wright, who was Sheridan’s assistant, will be assisted by coach Mark Crossley.
Chesterfield chief executive Chris Turner said:
“Tommy will take charge of the first-team for the forseeable future.
"We need to take stock of the situation so we are not looking to make an immediate appointment."
