Police release more details following death of cyclist

Police have released the name of a cyclist who died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver. Timothy Osborn, of Bourne Road, Pode Hole, near Spalding, Lincolnshire, was found injured on the A151 after failing to return home from work on Friday.

The 27-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene after the emergency services were alerted by members of his family. It is believed that Mr Osborn was involved in the collision some time after 9pm on Friday and officers were alerted to the incident at 12.15am on Saturday.

Police are seeking information about any vehicle which appears to have sustained front or side impact damage. Sergeant Chris Dennett, who is investigating the death, said officers were keen to speak to the driver of a van which may have been in the area, which was possibly silver in colour.
