A man from Stamford in Lincolnshire has invented a motorised pram that he hopes can become the world's fastest this weekend. Colin Furze is hoping his engine-powered pushchair will smash more than 30 miles per hour.

Video: pram set to break speed record

The girlfriend of an inventor from Stamford says she won't be swapping her regular pram for his high-speed version for transporting their one month old son Jake.

Charlotte Stapling is used to watching her 33 year old boyfriend Colin Furze create mad-cap contraptions. He already holds the world record for the fastest mobility scooter. But she says she doesn't fancy testing out his new 50mph pram just yet.
