British Transport Police officers say lives were put in danger when stones were thrown at passing trains at Hirst Wood Foot Crossing near Saltaire yesterday. Five trains were damaged.
The incident took place between 6.30pm and 7.20pm.

Two trains had door windows smashed - the other three suffered damage to the outer skin of the trains.
Whoever was responsible for this foolish and dangerous act put the lives of rail passengers and staff in danger.
“We urge those who think that throwing objects at trains on the railway is fun to think about the consequences of their actions. Luckily on this occasion no-one was hurt but someone could have quite easily been seriously injured or even killed.
