Cat shot dead in North Yorkshire

An investigation has started after a cat was shot dead in North Yorkshire.

The cat was hit with pellets from a BB gun at least ten times on 11 October in Topcliffe. It follows a similar shooting of a cat in the previous month.

The cat in that case survived after a treatment from vets for a fractured leg.

These acts of barbarity at truly sickening. How anyone can inflict such injuries on innocent animals is beyond understanding. Those responsible such be utterly ashamed of themselves.

If you can identify those responsible to come forward and contact the police or Crimestoppers straight away.
