Director of Public Prosecutions to review abuse claims against Savile

The Prime Minister has announced that the Director of Public Prosecutions is to review documents from police investigations into abuse claims against Jimmy Savile.

Speaking in the Commons, David Cameron told MPs:

Today I can confirm that the Director of Public Prosecutions has confirmed that his principle legal advisor will again review the papers from the time when a case was put to the CPS for prosecution.
