£130 million power plant given the go-ahead in Hull

The Reality Energy Centre at King George Dock will produce green electricity and will create 250 construction jobs. It will also employ 35 people during its 25 year operational lifespan.

A similar project was approved in Immingham in April and both plants will supply power to the national grid as well as heat for use in the ports. Completion and commissioning of both sites is expected during 2015.
