Detectives from British Transport Police are appealing for the public help to identify a man they believe may be able to provide valuable information in relation to two separate assaults on board trains between Leeds and Wakefield
BTP Detective Constable Gary Heseltine, said, “Following a previous appeal after a 13-year-old girl was assaulted on-board a train, we received reports of a similar incident taking place on Friday, 28 September.
“The victim, a 38-year-old female from Keighley, was travelling between Leeds and Steeton and Silsden when a man sat in the aisle seat next to her, blocking her exit. man pretended to be asleep then stroked the victim’s leg inappropriately.
However, when the train stopped at Keighley station he remained on the train and got off at the victims stop, Steeton and Silsden. Fortunately several other passengers also got off at the same time which allowed the victim to safely get to her car.
