Level crossing crash: Ambulance statement
East Midlands Ambulance Service received the emergency 999 call at 12:33 today. The caller reported that a train had been involved in a collision with a car. We dispatched highly skilled clinicians to the scene at Springs Road near Finningley, in a fast response vehicle, double crewed ambulance, our HART (hazardous area response team), the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and a clinical operations manager to manage the scene.
– East Midlands Amublance ServiceYorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) also attended. The air ambulance took a seriously injured child to Sheffield Children’s Hospital and the adult was taken by ambulance to Doncaster Royal Infirmary
