Rail accident latest
It has now been confirmed that there were two people in the car - a woman and a child - and not three as previously reported by the British Transport Police.
A spokesperson said: “The car contained two occupants, a woman and a child. The child sustained serious injuries and has been airlifted to hospital in Sheffield. The driver, a woman, received minor injuries and has been taken to hospital in Doncaster.
