Three South Yorkshire transplant recipients who defied life-threatening illnesses are among the first to sign up for next year's British Transplant Games.
Natalie Acott, 18, of Sheffield; and David Horner, 43, and Michael Lord, both from Rotherham, will be competing as part of the Sheffield team at the Games, which will take place in Sheffield in August.
The Westfield Health British Transplant Games aim to raise awareness of organ donation and increase the amount of names on the NHS Organ Donor Register. The Westfield Health British Transplant Games take place in Sheffield from August 15 to 18. To get involved visit this website.
