Christmas Day fatal head injury

A man who died in hospital on Christmas Day had sustained a fatal head injury. Lincolnshire Police are treating the death of Martins Lipsis, 21, of Broad Street, Spalding, as suspicious.

Officers and paramedics were called to an address in Winsover Road in Spalding at 1.15pm on Sunday December 23, where they found Mr Lipsis.

He was treated at the scene and taken to the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, where he died two days later.

A Home Office pathologist yesterday revealed Mr Lipsis died from a head injury.

Five men aged between 19 and 28 and a 28-year-old woman, all from Spalding, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and were released on police bail until January.
