Police appeal for witnesses after serious assault in Keighley

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was found outside his home in Keighley with serious injuries on Christmas day. The 64-year-old was found with head injuries outside flats on Spring Row. He was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Police arrested two men aged 51 and 46 and a woman aged 38.

We are continuing to investigate this incident and are treating the matter as a serious assault.

It is believed the victim may well have been in his home and has stepped outside to deal with a nuisance when he has been seriously assaulted and left until found by a passer by who contacted the emergency services.

I would ask anyone in the Spring Row area of Keighley around 6pm to contact us if they saw a group of people behaving suspiciously, perhaps being loud or shouting or throwing stones at a window, or in any other manner which would have attracted attention.

Although three people have been arrested on suspicion of an alleged assault, we very much need to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious or has information.

Anyone who can help can contact the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team on 101 or CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
