A grandfather from Sheffield has died in hospital after being attacked near his home on Christmas Eve. Alan Greaves, who was 68, died in the Northern General Hospital three days later.
He was found with a serious head injury on the pavement close to his home on Greengate Lane at High Green at around 11.15pm, after leaving his home to go to Midnight Mass. South Yorkshire Police are asking anyone with information to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
