Teenager attacked for her phone

Police in Worksop are looking for a young man after a teenage girl was attacked for her mobile phone.

On 17 December 2012 the 16-year-old was on the footpath outside Allens Cottages when she was shoved and punched by a man before he demanded her phone and money.

She managed to push him away and he ran off empty-handed. She was unharmed, but distressed by the attack.

The man is described as white, in his late teens, of slim build and around 5ft 9ins tall. He had short blond hair, prominent front teeth and was dressed in all black.

A similar attack happened at around 4pm on 9 December 2012 when two men threatened a woman in her 40s on a path outside Asda on Memorial Avenue in the town. The men, who were riding bicycles, pushed the woman against a wall and stole her handbag.
